Properly traditional and impeccably luxurious, Begg Scotland, established in 1869, still hand-crafts some of the finest scarves in the world from cashmere, silk, merino and lambswool angora.

Begg’s production process remains labour-intensive, relying on the very best spinners and dyers and the mastery of Begg’s weavers and craftspeople. The company’s signature cashmere Aran uses spiky dried teasel heads specially grown for Begg in Italy, which gently brush the surface of the cloth to create the characteristic raised ripple finish.
