Kanye West Debuts New Collection At New York Fashion Week

The rapper unveiled Yeezy Season 1, his collaboration with adidas Originals at NYFW

Kanye West has continued his foray into the fashion world by unveiling his collaboration with adidas Originals in an eagerly-anticipated show at New York Fashion Week over the weekend.

Branded Yeezy Season 1, West's collection includes apparel and footwear for both men and women, described as the world's first "solutions based" clothing line.

"I don't want the clothes to be the life, I want the clothes to help the life," expressed Kanye, in a way that only Kanye could.

The mens collection played on a military style with a muted colour palette of nude, military green and blue-grey – and in terms of footwear, West showcased the Yeezy Bost 750.

Choreographed by contemporary artist Vanessa Beecroft, in attendance were industry veterans Anna Wintour and Alexander Wang, alongside West's wife Kim Kardashian and celebrity pals P. Diddy, Jay-Z and Beyoncé (who owed him one after his controversial public appraisal of the singer at last weekend's Grammys).

Eyeing the opportunity for a spot of self-promotion, Kanye also debuted a track, entitled 'Wolves', taken from his upcoming album; the song features Vic Mensa and Sia. You can hear it in this video.
