It must be difficult being David Beckham. Think about it. Not only are you rich, famous and regarded as one of the best-looking men on the planet, you also get to travel the world watching football with a spot of modelling thrown in.
Frankly, it sounds like a nightmare.
For Spring/Summer '15, Becks has reunited with H&M to select his favourite pieces from the Swedish brand's 'Modern Essentials' collection – a sort of 'director's cut' titled –wait for it - 'Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham'.
Shot by director Marc Forster (Quantum Of Solace, World War Z), the campaign displays exactly the sort of affordable style we want from a trip to the high-street, like this mid-length charcoal cotton/linen blend car coat (above, priced £39.99) which wouldn't look out of place in the pub on a Friday night or on a Sunday morning dog walk in the park.
And as things finally seem to be heating up outside, you could do a lot worse than this fitted blue cotton polo shirt with white detailing (above, priced £19.99) or the simple black linen crew-neck tee – both summer staples in any man's wardrobe (below, priced £7.99).
For smarter occasions, the linen poplin shirt is a wise choice (below, priced £14.99). Crisp, minimal and designed around strong lines, it's the perfect shirt to smarten up a casual outfit, or to throw on with your suit for that all-important meeting/game of FIFA.
And as any Brit knows, however sunny it looks outside, it's always best to have a good jumper handy. With that in mind Becks has selected the campus blue cotton sweatshirt in a classic, crew-neck design that can be pared down with jeans or smartened up under a blazer (below, priced £14.99).
