Persol has introduced its latest take on one of its most iconic styles – Cellor frames – with help from German filmmaker, Wim Wenders (Paris, Texas; Wings of Desire).

The Italian luxury eyewear brand’s frames – an iconic model since their creation in 1955 – are combining their original design with an evolved folding system which will blend past and present in style.

Wenders has directed an exclusive short movie interpreting the new Persol Cellor collection while simultaneously celebrating the spirit of Italian cinema in the Fifties.

Titled Vai, Paparazzo! – a homage to Fellini classic La Dolce Vita – the short recreates the atmosphere of a shooting day back in Fifties Rome through the eyes of a Persol Cellor frames-wearing director – played by Wenders himself.

The new Persol Cellor folding version will be available at selected retailers worldwide from October 2015.
