Today is Mark Zuckerberg's first day back in the office after paternity leave, and the Facebook magnate marked the occasion by snapping a photo of the inside of his closet and posting it on Facebook to ask users which outfit he should choose:

It's a joke, see? Because Zuck famously wears a pared-down uniform of grey T-shirts and hoodies, stating that he doesn't want to waste mental energy thinking about clothing. "I really want to clear my life so that I have to make as few decisions as possible, other than how to best serve this community," he told Facebook users at a Q&A session in 2014.
This idea of uniform dressing isn't unique to Zuckerberg: Steve Jobs and his black mock-necks jump to mind in the tech space, and fashion designer Thom Browne is also known for keeping his look consistent. But while we admire the kind of self-control it takes to narrow your wardrobe down to just a few key components, we've got to say that this approach to personal style sounds like it'd get a little boring. Deciding what to wear each day may require some extra thought, but the luxury of making that decision—especially in today's environment of sartorial exploration—is one we'd rather not give up.
That said, there is something to be learned from Zuck's closet. You'll notice he's hanging his T-shirts. If your wardrobe is similarly short on tailored clothing, feel free to do the same. But tees and sweats do just as well if you fold them (you run less risk of stretched necklines, though the trade-off is a couple of extra creases). Better to throw the knits in the drawer and save the hanging space for dress shirts, suits, and overcoats. And maybe incorporate at least one color other than grey. Something adventurous, like navy blue.
