For phone snobs HTC has become the Android brand to beat. The Taiwanese multinational has kept the competition on its toes with a series of bold moves – 4.7-inch HD screens, powerful front speakers and cameras using 'fewer but better' pixels. Sales might not reflect this – HTC recently announced an $80m loss – but handsome, powerful devices like the HTC One sweep the board at industry gadget awards.
It's a run that's in little danger of stopping with their latest flagship device, the HTC 10. Boasting the best selfie camera on the market (5 UltraPixels, in addition to the main 12 UltraPixel camera), 4K video and 24-bit audio (hi-res headphones are included in the box), as well as extremely fast charging, the iPhone 7 is going to need to be stunning to top it. With its all-metal design featuring chamfered edges the HTC 10 is also, for our money, the best-looking phone on the market. Your move, Apple.
