That's right, as the new season looms, it's boot buying time already. Nike's new GS model makes a strong case for those of you looking for an understated pair that isn't trying to reinvent the very fabric of boot design... oh.
That's right, Nike are calling the GS their lightest, greenest and quickest (the GS stands for Green Speed) boot since, well, the last time. But in fairness, this one does look pretty special.
Nike's boot boffins in Italy started from scratch, designing a brand new platform and soleplate with the aim of reducing weight and waste.
The boots are made from 95 per cent recycled materials including castor beans, while the synthetic upper uses solvent-free kanga-lite material manufactured with a third less carbon emissions than usual.
Brazilian superstar Neymar was the first to wear the boot during the Olympics. To get your hands on a pair the GS is available in a limited edition run from 15 August at nike.com
