It's always great when two venerable British institutions come together. And no, we're not talking about the Coalition. We're talking about the collaboration between Garbstore and Grenson.
We all know Grenson. The English shoemakers have been around longer than those cardamom seeds you said you were definitely going to use one day (Since 1866, to be exact). They've undergone a resurgence in recent years, with everyone from your stylish uncle to Hoxton hairdressers wearing a pair. They've not rested on their laurels either, creating new designs every season that ensures we've got new reasons to buy them.
Garbstore haven't been around for quite as long, forming when Ian Paley sold his old brand One True Saxon to make a store which focused on "Unfamiliar Vintage". The brand has worked with many a brand, the latest being Grenson.
The two companies have created a capsule collection consisting of two shoes in a single monkstrap and a boot. While we're fans of the boot, the pick of the bunch for us is the beige suede monkstrap. While there are sections of the internet that love a double monkstrap, we're fans of the quieter singlemonkstrap. A weekend shoe if ever there was one, these will go perfectly with a pair of loved in denim. And they'll guaranteed to last longer than the coalition.
