NASA-approved Breitling

NASA-approved Breitling

To infinity and beyond with Breitling’s Nasa-approved watch.

Pilot watches designed to cope with the rigours of aviation are all well and good, but what to wear when your sights are set even higher? The answer is Breitling’s new Navitimer Cosmonaute.

Launched to celebrate the 50th birthday of the original Navitimer, worn by Nasa astronaut Scott Carpenter when he manned the Aurora 7 capsule in 1962, the first time a US astronaut wore a wristwatch into orbit, the new Cosmonaute has been designed with modern space travel in mind, but will look equally impressive on planet Earth.

Notable for its 24-hour display - vital for astronauts needing to distinguish day from night - the 1,962-piece watch features a Breitling in-house movement, with a 70-hour power reserve, an Aurora 7 insignia engraved into the caseback (in honour of the original timepiece).
