Today was liftoff for Apple's annual "new stuff you should buy" product announcement event, and among the goodies introduced was an Apple Watch collaboration with French luxury brand Hermès.

The new Apple Watch Hermès is a custom stainless steel collection with three distinctive styles of crafted leather bands. There's the Single Tour, the Double Tour, and the Cuff.

Apparently the Double Tour has been getting the most attention at the Apple-e-thon courtesy of its double loop band that wraps around the wrist twice.

The Hermès model will be able to utilize all the new features coming to the Watch with the next version of Watch OS, including public transportation directions and new Watch Faces.

There are already more than 10,000 Watch apps in the App Store. With Watch 2.0, developers will be able to create even more apps, specifically apps that run natively on the watch, and take advantage of some of the Watch's hardware components.

Several apps headed to the wearable include Facebook Messenger, GoPro (the Apple Watch will become a viewfinder for the camera), and AirStripOne, an app for medical professionals.

In addition, Apple Watch OS 2.0 will be available on September 16.
