Cars, watches - what more do you want?

What is it about watches and cars? They're both functional objects that marry precision workmanship with aesthetic beauty – a combination of art and engineering. Chances are, if you're an Esquire reader, you probably enjoy them both. 

A new book, inevitably titled Drive Time, examines their parallel histories over the last 100 years, from Dunhill's 1903 dashboard clock though to the Rolex Daytona and Tag Heuer Carrera to contemporary tie-ins including Hublot and Ferrari, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin and IWC and Mercedes-Benz.
