Love Watches? Then This Is Why You Should Head To Esquire Townhouse

What horology fans can expect at our biggest event of the year

Watches are a huge part of the Esquire world, and for horology fans we bring you The Expert's Guide to Starting a Watch Collection. Hosted by Esquire watch columnist Robin Swithinbank, the discussion will focus on the culture of watch collecting, why vintage watches make such good investments, and why you should choose one marque over another. Panelists include George Bamford, customizer extraordinaire and founder of Bamford Watch Department; Stuart Hennell, director of pre-owned watch specialist Watchfinder.co.uk; Danny Pizzigoni, Rolex expert and founder of vintage and rare watch dealer The Watch Club, and Andrew Hildrith, a watch collector, doctor of economics and liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers. A better-read panel is hard to find, we're sure you'll agree.

In addition to the panel discussion, British watchmaker Bremont will be in residence at the Townhouse throughout the four days offering guests the chance to try their hand at constructing an automatic movement, and truly understand the skill and patience that goes into fine watchmaking. This masterclass is available to all single event ticket holders, as well as day-pass ticket holders.
