Jaeger-LeCoultre pay tribute to 1931

The latest news from the camp at Jaeger-LeCoultre, is that the new Grand Reverso Ultra Thin “Tribute to 1931” - which is heavily inspired by the original 1931 Reverso - is to be unveiled at next week’s SIHH watch fair in Geneva.

Driven by a hand-wound Calibre 822 movement, and set in a steel case (although there’s also a limited-edition version in rose gold), the Reverso was originally designed for polo players – the case flips over to protect the glass – and this new version is robust enough to be water resistant to 3 bar. However, it’s the watch’s elegant art-deco form that makes it so desirable.
