Rolex Submariner Facelift

How do you update a classic? Rolex’s much-imitated Submariner is one of only a handful of watches that would be immediately recognisable without the company logo, and it’s just been subtly updated.

The changes are that the rotatable bezel now has a near-scratchproof cerachrom insert, the hour markers and hands are now coated in luminescent Chromalight and the bracelet is now solid and has an adjustable Glidelock for fine adjustments. All of which pale in significance when compared to the impact of the new green dial.
