Burberry Launch New Watch Line

Burberry's Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey has designed a timely new range.

A watch inspired by a trench coat? It will never work. Except of course, under the auspices of those bastions of British luxury, Burberry, it has.

Their new range of timepieces is called The Britain, and it was launched last night at Burberry’s new flagship Regent Street store, with a campaign shot by Mario Testino.

The watches, designed by Bailey himself, are every bit as well-crafted as you’d expect; each of the five models has a Swiss Made self-winding mechanical movement, and the stainless steel rounded octagonal casing is secured with custom-designed bolts (screwed on by hand).

The quality of the finish is first-rate - a worthy accompaniment to the classic trench.
