Breitling watches have become synonymous with aviation - the Swiss brand was a pioneer of the wrist chronograph and it remains the brand's hallmark today. And the new flagship store on New Bond Street, London which opens on June 11th will pay homage to these close links with air exploration.
Set over 2 floors, the interior walls are loaded with aviation-inspired art. As you'd expect from a techical Swiss watchmaker, attention to detail is on the right side of meticulous - even the stair treads, made of solid American black walnut, have a curved underside to mimic the lines of an aeroplane wing.
Horologists will be keen to know that there will be an on-site watchmaker in residence, who you can see working on designs while you browse, while limited-edition and archive pieces will also be on display.
