It was around this time a fortnight ago that John Travolta and David Beckham were spotted hanging out together in London. They weren’t here for a premier or some A-List love-in, nor had they hooked up to compare notes on their respective private jets. They were here for a store launch - watch brand Breitling’s new London flagship, to be specific. Such is the pull of the world beating Swiss Marque.
A-listers aside, the store – located smack bang in the centre of Mayfair’s New Bond Street – is impressive. Set over two floors and spanning some 2,700 square feet, the flagship will play host to a full-time watchmaker, shipped in from the Swiss alps, alongside a range of limited-edition pieces aimed at the capital’s hardcore collectors.
“We are truly delighted to finally be nested in such a rich and venerable retail environment” says Marie Bodman, CEO of Breitling UK. “It was well worth the wait as Bond Street is quite simply the […] address that every luxury lover dreams of.“
