Think of the RAF, and ski racing isn’t necessarily the first thing that comes to mind. So why then, does the RAF have its very own ski team? Simply, because it develops the qualities it look for in its people. Leadership, teamwork, mental strength, physical courage, dedication and determination are all put to the test when the RAF ski team convenes in the world’s most extreme landscapes.

For their latest exercise, the team headed to the frozen mountains in Chile to hone their speed skiing skills and film a cinematic campaign for team sponsor Casio. The perfect extreme environment to put the new Casio G-Shock GW-A1100 to the test, we go behind the scenes of the shoot with Flight lieutenant Nathan Jones and producer/directors Simon Alveranga and Phil Good to discover why toughness and precision are key.
