You must have seen them. Everyone – or at least anyone with a little fashion foresight and fair whack of good taste – is sporting a Larsson & Jennings watch.
This Anglo-Swedish wrist littering is down to the brand’s clean, minimalist aesthetic, and the build quality of their watches. Why’s now a good time to get one? Because yours can be different to everyone else’s thanks to the LJX Custom Bar opening for business at the Covent Garden flagship store.
Visitors to the store can now choose between four of L&J’s classic 40mm faces, and a host of leather straps, which are all made tanneries in either Tärnsjö (Sweden) or Somerset (not Sweden). Colours range from camel to camo, and there’s a number of different finishes and hardware options to choose from.
“LJX Custom gives Larsson & Jennings and our customer the opportunity to experiment with combinations outside the core range,” says founder Andrew Jennings, “showcasing different angles to the brand and product offering. And we are proud to partner with our handpicked Swedish and British tanneries to provide quality handmade straps.”
In addition to the watch collection and LJX Custom Bar, the Larsson & Jennings store is equipped with an espresso machine. It’s down to the management’s respect for the daily Swedish tradition of ‘Fika’, which basically means ‘have some coffee and cake’. Our tip? Drop by for the watches, stay for the java.
