Over the past few years, Apple TV+ has arguably emerged as the streaming giant with the most star power. We're talking about the likes of Harrison Ford, Tom Holland, Ana de Armas and Chris Evans, all popping up in exclusive shows and movies across the platform. Are these projects any good? Let's ignore that question for now and just bathe in the A-list splendour, because the Cali tech giant has just pulled off its biggest coup yet.

Which is to say, Brad Pitt and George Clooney are reuniting in a movie for the first time in 15 years (shout out to the Coen Brothers' Burn After Reading) for a thriller, Wolves, that they're both acting in and co-producing via their respective companies, Plan B Entertainment and Smokehouse Pictures.

Here’s everything we know about the Pitt-Clooney comeback so far:

What’s the big idea?

Details are scant at the moment, and so far the only thing we know is that the film “follows two lone-wolf fixers assigned to the same job” and then… trouble ensues? Hilarity ensues? Both? Quite possibly, as according to The Daily Mail, an insider said: “Brad and George's lifelong bromance is tighter than ever, and they are having a blast and causing some mischief. Everyone on the film knows that it will be an unbelievable hit so there has been great energy on set.” The source is also apparently the resident vibe-checker as well, as they also oddly commented: “Brad and George are in great moods.” Good to know!

The only other thing we’ve been privy to so far is some shots from filming, which took place in New York in January, and resulted in us becoming a little bit obsessed with the teal velour jumpsuit Pitt was sporting.

The film is being directed by Jon Watts, who was behind the recent home-themed Spider-Man trilogy; Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Who else is in it?

Alongside our guys, a couple of other actors are on board. First up, there’s Austin Abrams, who was last seen as Ethan in Euphoria and Do Revenge. According to Deadline, Abrams' as yet unnamed part is considered the “third lead role” in the film, and his two auditions “ultimately blew the director and Apple away.”

Next, there’s Amy Ryan, who’s probably most well known for appearing as Sylvia in Birdman, Holly in The Office (the American version) and she’s most recently been in Beau Is Afraid. Finally, Never Have I Ever star Poorna Jagannathan has also been seen filming on set back in February.

Is there a trailer?

Nope, not even a teaser yet.

When’s it out?

No official date has been given yet, but it’s most likely to be hitting cinemas in 2024.
