HBO has shared a new trailer for Al Pacino's new film, Paterno, in which he plays the disgraced former Penn State football coach Joe Paterno. The film follows reporter Sara Ganim (Riley Keough) as she investigates a sex scandal surrounding assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, who was later sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison for child abuse and molestation.
The film shows Pacino's Paterno in the final weeks of his 46-year career as the most winning coach in college football history. In the clip he's asked, "Did you know about Jerry?" The question which ultimately led to his dismissal from the team and the end of his career in November of 2011.
The film premieres on HBO on April 7.
