The British Academy Film Awards have just been announced and as ever it brought some big winners and some notable snubs.

The Times Up and #MetToo movements loomed large over the red carpet with many of the attendees wearing black in support and several high profile guests walking the carpet with equal rights activists.

Meanwhile inside the Royal Albert Hall the big winners of the night were Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri with five BAFTAs, and The Shape of Water which took three.

Billboards bagged the awards for Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Best Original Screenplay as well as Best Actress for Frances McDormand and Best Supporting Actor for Sam Rockwell.
