A Quiet Place 2, the follow-up to A Quiet Place which John Krasinski said he definitely wouldn't be bothering with, is out on Friday, and a new teaser has given us a bit more insight into what to expect from Cillian Murphy's spectacularly beardy survivalist type, Emmet.

"His talent is so good at all times we couldn't wait to have him jump in our world," writer and director Krasinski says of Murphy. "The beauty of Cillian's character is there's so much loss in his life, he doesn't feel the need to be part of any community."

There doesn't seem to be a great deal of beauty about in Emmet's world, judging by the trailer. "I don't know why you came all the way up here," he tells Emily Blunt's Evelyn. "There's nothing left."

"He's actually a representation of the rest of the world," says Krasinski. "There's a darkness to him and a fear level to him that makes him unpredictable."

"He is shut down, unwilling to help, frightened, fearful, done," adds Blunt.

Murphy himself focuses on a particularly cabin feverish meeting between Emmet and Evelyn in which Evelyn becomes aware of the full scale of the horror waiting for herself and her kids. "That encounter they have in that tiny little space is incredibly charged and incredibly intense," he says. "I was just blown away by it."
