UPDATE (8/6/2015): The full first teaser with dialogue for Vinyl is out, and it's a doozy: Bobby Cannavale with longer hair, a lot of cocaine, guitar-smashing, and the signature Marty Scorsese freeze-frame-and-voiceover touch.

Not much is known yet about Vinyl, the new HBO series from the minds of Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger, and Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire), but that's enough to get people excited about whatever this thing is.

Winter created the series, set in the New York City rock music scene of the '70s. Scorsese and Jagger are both executive producers, and Scorsese directed the pilot. Bobby Cannavale will star as a record executive who's attempting to revive his ailing record label, and Olivia Wilde plays his wife.
