A new teaser clip of Guy Ritchie's forthcoming film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword was aired on today's Good Morning Britain, and naturally, resident shit-stirrer Piers Morgan put his two pence in on the ITV show, mocking David Beckham's "Oscar-worthy" acting.
Speaking to his co-host Susanna Reid about the clip, Piers sarcastically said: "I thought it was fantastic...
"He could be the third Mitchell brother in EastEnders. I thought it was a very, very good performance. Honestly β Oscars, wow, exciting."
Jumping to Beckham's defence, Susanna said: "He is responsible for directing and instructing the most important moment in the film.
"I think it's good, I think it's atmospheric. He has that role. Well done David Beckham!"
Piers then added: "Will David Beckham be able to make it in Hollywood? Probably not. Well done David, you're a brilliant actor.
"I can see Oscars looming. Another talent from that super talented family," he added, before mimicking his line from the film: "Both hands!"
And ITV viewers seemed to be more impressed with Piers' impression of Beckham than the former footballer's thespian skills.
