With all the news surrounding Kevin Spacey’s removal from Ridley Scott’s All The Money in the World, we almost forget there was another star-studded J. Paul Getty drama in the works.

In his upcoming TV series , Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle tells the story of how oil tycoon Jean Paul Getty refused to pay a $17 million ransom to kidnappers for his 16-year-old grandson.

Getty, who was worth $1.2 billion in 1966, refused to negotiate with the Italian mafia, despite them sending him a severed ear in the post. "This is Paul’s ear. If we don’t get some money within 10 days, then the other ear will arrive. In other words, he will arrive in little bits."

Donald Sutherland will star as the controversial baron, alongside Hilary Swank, Michael Esper and (here’s a blast from the past) Brendan Fraser.

Trust premieres on 25 March on FX in the US, and soon after that in the UK.
