Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has revealed what he thinks of spin-off series House of the Dragon.

Harington starred as Jon Snow, King of the North, in the hugely popular HBO series.

While he's not a part of the new show, that hasn't stopped Harington from tuning in with the rest of the world.

In a new interview, the Eternals actor has shared that he thinks the showrunners have done a "fantastic job" on the series so far.

"I'm really enjoying it," Harington told Entertainment Tonight Canada. "My friend Miguel [Sapochnik] show-run it, so I'm really enjoying it. I think they've done a fantastic job."

"It's a weird one to start a whole new show in the same kind of realm and to make it its own thing," he said. "I think that they've really done that."

Last week, it was announced that Harington's pal Sapochnik would be scaling back his role in House of the Dragon.

As a result, he will be stepping down as co-showrunner and director. However, he won't be gone from the series completely and will continue to be credited as executive producer.

Co-showrunner Ryan Condal will now be the sole showrunner on the already-confirmed second season of the spin-off, while Game of Thrones veteran Alan Taylor will step in in as director and executive producer.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that House of Dragon show bosses have already decided how the show will end.

"We have a very, very precise idea of where we wanna go with it, but we can't tell you," Sapochnik said. "I think that the important thing is that this is a... think of this as an Episode IV, the Star Wars Episode IV.

"So it's kind of, we're in the middle of a history that is rich and full of stories to tell and it's a good place to start."
