King Viserys Targaryen's pair of green fingers on House of the Dragon will be corrected by HBO.

In the Game of Thrones prequel's third episode, 'Second of His Name', the ailing Protector of the Realm passed over a tube of parchment to a soldier, intended for his troublesome brother Daemon out in the Stepstones.

However, observant fans noticed the bright green colouration around Viserys's two end digits, which editors were supposed to remove in order to create either stubs or wounds.

The US network will make the necessary changes on its streaming platforms, Variety reports.

Last week, HOTD co-showrunner Miguel Sapochnik announced that he was stepping down from his duties in the upcoming second season.

"Working within the Thrones universe for the past few years has been an honour and a privilege, especially spending the last two with the amazing cast and crew of House of the Dragon. I am so proud of what we accomplished with season one and overjoyed by the enthusiastic reaction of our viewers," his statement read.

As you would be, Lord Corlys Velaryon actor Steve Toussaint is pretty gutted about the whole thing.

"I got a call from Ryan [Condal, co-showrunner] one night, just saying, 'Listen, this is about to break. I want you to know what's happening and everything's going to be fine', and so forth. And it's Miguel's decision. So I was disappointed," he said.

"While personally I'm disappointed, because I think he has a great artistic vision, I understand, for the good of his health, he's got to take a long break and recharge himself and decide what else he wants to do next to that."
