In Instagram's newest attempt to become Snapchat update this week, the app introduced live video and a feature that lets you send disappearing private photos and videos. With that came a particularly alarming update: Instagram sends notifications when someone takes screenshots. But take a deep breath, because it's only a certain kind of screenshots.
The notification will appear within the Instagram app, on the bubbles at the top of the inbox, and in your phone's notification center. That said, the screenshots are only limited to the disappearing photos and videos, not to anywhere else in the app.
So feel free to screenshot Emily Ratajkowski's Instagram feed with careless abandon.
