Any TikTok addict knows that trends move pretty fast. Go on the social media platform today and you'd be hard-pressed to find a new video of someone doing the viral dance from Netflix's Wednesday, which debuted this past December. But Saturday Night Live! can't move as fast as the Internet. So, when the Please Don't Destroy trio of Martin, Ben, and John dress up in Wednesday Addams garb to dance with this week's host, Wednesday star Jenna Ortega? The actress is unamused.

"I just feel like I don't want to do the Wednesday dance for promo because we've seen so much of that already and I think it's time to do something new," Ortega says, wanting to promote her latest film, Scream VI. But the Please Don't Destroy boys are all dressed up as Wednesday and ready to dance. Hell, Martin puts on the outfit—but only films the three three of them dancing, which makes for the final laugh of the video.

When they finally do get down to bustin' a move, the clip is set to a sped-up version of Lady Gaga's "Bloody Mary" instead of the once-viral "Goo Goo Muck" by The Cramps—the song actually used in Wednesday. It all started when a group of fans on TikTok thought that the slightly sped-up Gaga track fit the dance better, which led to the dance racking up another round of views. There's a whole debate about it now, but I wonder if SNL knows that it just picked a side. Maybe we'll find out when Ortega hosts the late-night show on March 11, when we'll surely see even more spooky sketches and iconic deadpan stares.
