Forget Chelsea and Barcelona, according to one Lionel Messi, Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain are favourites to win the Champions League this season.
City are currently gearing up to tackle FC Basel, while PSG will next face Real Madrid.
Formidable opponents, but speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Messi called the two teams “the best in Europe.”
“I also do not exclude Real Madrid in terms of quality and experience, even though they have not yet achieved the expected results. Then there’s Bayern Munich, another great team who will play until the end. Today, however, the best are City and PSG.”
