Unlike Arsenal fans as it is to get overexcited, it appears that a series of tweets have teased fans into believing Mesut Ozil is about to extend his contract with the club.
The German international was repeatedly linked to rival clubs in the last transfer window, although Wenger dug his heels in and refused to sell the player.
This might have just paid off if their twitter account is to be believed. Either that or a very enthusiastic intern has some explaining to do.
Yesterday the Arsenal FC Twitter account published a post that read, "It's a wet afternoon in north London, so let us brighten up your Sunday," which they then followed up with six great Ozil strikes.
Fans believed that Christmas was about to arrive early due to the pointed nature of the tweets, but nothing is as of yet confirmed.
