The nightly dilemma of flicking between streamers and wondering what to watch is about to get a whole lot harder, as Netflix has announced a stack of new original films coming to the service.

Among a long list of more than 20 big-hitters, viewers can get a sneak peek of movies including Luther: The Fallen Sun, featuring Idris Elba back as the disgraced detective; Jonah Hill in comedy You People, Chris Hemsworth back at the helm as Tyler Rake in Extraction 2; John Boyega and Jamie Foxx in the murder mystery They Cloned Tyrone; plane heist Lift, featuring Kevin Hart and finally, J-Lo-Affleck in the assassin flick, The Mother. That batch only takes us up to the summer, by which point, you’ll probably want to think about leaving your house for a bit of fresh air.

Once that autumn nip sets in, there’s a bunch more: Pain Hustlers, where Chris Evans and Emily Blunt find themselves in a pharmaceutical racketeering scheme; Michael Fassbender makes a return to screen alongside Tilda Swinton as a guy who sets off an international manhunt in The Killer, while the star-studded disaster thriller Leave The World Behind – featuring Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke and Kevin Bacon – will mean the streamer will end the year on a dramatic high.

Here’s hoping you’re Adam Sandler fans, as the man is going to be getting a lot of Netflix screen time over the next year, too.
