Oscar Isaac reigns as king in several realms at this point: Star Wars, Disney+'s Marvel TV (Moon Knight debuted its first episode today), and, of course, the Internet's heart. As the most recent cover star for our friends over at Esquire US, Isaac sat down to explain some of the pieces of some of his domains with us, ranging from his friendship to Pedro Pascal to his favoUrite memory with Carrie Fisher.

In the video, which is streaming above, Isaac breaks down some of his career highlights and relationships. When it comes to Pedro Pascal, the friendship is simple. "He's obsessed with me," Isaac deadpans. "I try to get away from him, he finds me. Even when I change my number... it's like a disease." And while the actor is set to bring Moon Knight to life for Disney+, he admits that his favourite comic book character growing up was Wolverine. Why? "I have to go with Wolverine. As a smaller guy, wolverine's a little guy, at least in the comics he was. You know, furry and angry? I can relate to that."

As for the superhero that he's not interested in being like, when Isaac signed on for Spider-Man 2099, he wanted to make Spider-Man an interesting character and not just a "dark, mono-syllabic kind of guy" like Batman. In short, keep it to yourself Robert Pattinson.

Perhaps the biggest surprise in the interview: Ethan Hawke lives around the corner from Isaac in Brooklyn, so when it came to asking him to join Moon Knight, it looked a little bit like an ambush. "When I saw him at this coffee shop, I thought he would be perfect," Isaac says. "I walked up to him and told him I was a huge fan of his work and would he like to be a bad guy in a Marvel show?" The rest, as they say, is a small oat milk latte.
