The sixth series of Peaky Blinders is likely to be a very long way away now, what with coronavirus and everything. Filming's been suspended indefinitely, knocking transmission back at least a couple of months. Gutted.

But there's a lot of Peaky stuff going on over on the new official Peaky Blinders website, peakyblinders.tv. Official sites tend to be a bit tedious, but this one looks actually worthwhile. It's only just up and running, with some interesting bits and pieces from the Peaky archives, including interviews with behind the scenes crew, and the audio stories read by Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy which came out last October.

There's a nice interview with Steven Knight in there too, where he reveals that he first tried to get Peaky Blinders made by Channel 4 back in the mid-Nineties, and that Arthur Shelby was based on an uncle called Fred who "nailed his wallpaper to the wall because he couldn’t be bothered to use glue". It explains a lot.

There'll be more of that sort of thing, you suspect, along with announcements on when things are likely to get moving again. Oh, and merch. Buddy! So much merch. And fan art by the absolute gallery-load.

Basically, it's where you want to be keeping an eye if you want new Peaky stuff straight from the horse's mouth. Along with Esquire, obviously. Probably us, then peakyblinders.tv, then director Anthony Byrne's Instagram. The holy trinity of Peaky news.
