There's nothing worse than a TV show ending for good without giving us all the answers.

Some of our favorite TV shows still on the air have plot threads still dangling–and we need these storylines resolved... before it's too late.

1. The Walking Dead: Where's Heath?

... and what does 'PPP' mean?

The character of Heath was abruptly written out of The Walking Dead when actor Corey Hawkins landed the lead in 24: Legacy–during a supply run, he became separated from fellow survivor Tara and hasn't been seen since.

He did leave behind his trademark glasses, though, along with a key card marked with a triple P–so where's Heath now, and what's the deal with that card?

Now that 24: Legacy's been canned, apparently freeing up Hawkins to return to The Walking Dead, maybe we'll get some answers.

2. Game of Thrones: Is Gendry still rowing?

As Robert Baratheon's sole surviving bastard, Gendry (Joe Dempsie) has a legitimate blood claim to the Iron Throne. That would make him a major player in the war for Westeros–if he hadn't spent the last four years quite literally out to sea.

Surely HBO's fantasy epic has to address Gendry's fate at some point in its final 13 episodes? Here's hoping those reports that Dempsie's been spotted on set will bear fruit.

3. Red Dwarf: What happened at the end of series 8?

Series eight's finale, 'Only the Good...' has Rimmer jump into a mirror universe, to locate the antidote to a techno-virus that's eating Red Dwarf. He returns to 'our' world, only to find the ship falling apart and his fellow crew members nowhere to be seen.

The situation looks dire and the Grim Reaper even appears to claim Rimmer... but instead, Arnie knees him in the balls and makes good his escape.

The show then disappeared from our screens for ten years and when the story picked up, the ship was back in one piece and with zero explanation as to how. What's more, Rimmer–who we last saw in human form–is now a hologram again. What the smeg?

4. Marvel's Agents of SHIELD: Will Graviton rise?

Ian Hart played Dr Franklin Hall in a first season episode of Agents of SHIELD, a character who, in the original comic books, becomes the super-villain Graviton.

Hall's sole appearance in 2013's 'The Asset' clearly set up just such a transformation: sucked into his own gravity manipulation device, known as the Gravitonium, Hall was believed dead, but the episode closed on his hand emerging from the machine.

And then... nothing. Any chance we'll finally see Graviton in all his glory next season?

5. Fear the Walking Dead: Is Alex still aboard a pirate ship?

The Walking Dead spin-off's just as bad as the flagship when it comes to dangling plot-lines. The introduction of Alex (Michelle Ang) was made to feel like a big deal–she debuted in the web-series Flight 462, before joining the cast of Fear the Walking Dead in its second season.

But after appearing in just two episodes, Fear was done with Alex–she was last seen trapped aboard a ship run by a nefarious gang of pirates. Still, if Daniel Salazar (Ruben Blades) can survive a fiery inferno, we suppose there's a chance Alex could return.

6. Daredevil: What's with the literal plot hole?

Midway through Daredevil's second season, the Man without Fear (Charlie Cox) and his ex-lover / fellow ninja Elektra (Elodie Yung) discover that villainous organization The Hand is digging a huge, almost impossibly deep hole in Hell's Kitchen, New York.

"Why are [they] digging a hole?" Elektra asks. It's a good question–and one the show never provides a real answer to.

Fans are still hoping that this literal plot hole will be resolved, either in the third season of Daredevil or next month's team-up series The Defenders.

Maybe Iron Fist can fall into it.
