Like most Marvel titles these days, WandaVision is full of hidden Easter eggs and fun blink-and-you'll-miss-them moments that reference other properties within the universe.

The series, which blends elements of mystery, comedy and thriller, recently uploaded its sixth episode to Disney+, and proved no exception to the rule.

In it, Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff attempts to come to terms with the fact that her late brother Pietro, who was previously brought to life by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, has seemingly come back from the dead and looks completely different.

(He's now portrayed by Evan Peters, who played a version of the character in X-Men Days of Future Past, X-Men Apocalypse and X-Men: Dark Phoenix.)

The episode saw Wanda and Vision (Paul Bettany) don Halloween costumes inspired by their comic book counterparts, and featured a not-so-subtle gag about Peters and Taylor-Johnson's other superhero-based film franchise Kick-Ass, too.

That's not all, though. It also managed to squeeze in a nod to Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury and Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff.

Towards the beginning of the spooktacular episode, Wanda walks down the stairs of her home to berate sons Billy and Tommy, who are running amuck.

It's in this moment that she reveals her OG Scarlet Witch-style look, prompting Pietro to suggest that she looks worse than when their parents used to dress them up for the October holiday back in Sokovia.

The story then cuts to a young Wanda and Pietro trick-or-treating in their home country, where she's seen sporting a red-haired braid with bleached ends – much like Natasha aka Black Widow in Avengers: Endgame – while little Pietro wears an eye patch.

Did you manage to spot the in-joke?
