Amy Adams is one of a number of A-list actors due to star in a movie based on Alfred Hitchcock-inspired film The Woman in the Window.
Deadline Hollywood have announced that Amy Adams will be starring in the crime flick, which will be based on the best-selling book The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn. The novel is about a child psychologist called Anna Fox, who lives in a New York suburb and suffers from agoraphobia.
Anna becomes addicted to classic film noir movies like Hitchcock's Rear Window, and the plot just gets more and more exciting from that point on. The project is being overseen by Fox 2000.
The gripping movie will be directed by Joe Wright, with Adams playing Anna Fox. Expect to see her drinking a lot of wine, downing prescription medication, and witnessing a crime that will leave her questioning everything she previously thought she knew about herself.
Amy Adams also stars in the upcoming HBO mini-series, Sharp Objects.
Sharp Objects will premiere on HBO in July in the US.
