Marvel has finally dropped the first trailer for Avengers 4 and the title has been confirmed as Avengers: Endgame.

The teaser starts with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) adrift in space after the defeat by Thanos on Titan. He appears resigned, sending a goodbye message to Pepper Potts before switching off his helmet.

We then see the other surviving Avengers mourning over their lost colleagues, but at least it seems like Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) have a plan that really needs to work.

The trailer also confirmed the return of Hawkeye, potentially in his new alter ego of Ronin, and it ends with Ant-Man showing up wherever Cap and Black Widow are staying after The Decimation.

The long-awaited sequel to Avengers: Infinity War picks up from that devastating ending as the remaining Avengers attempt to defeat Thanos.

We don't really know all that much about the movie, but rumours have swirled around about everything from a time travel plot to the Quantum Realm acting as the MCU's version of Soul World.

Thanks to set photos and the like, we do know that a whole host of deceased MCU characters will be back in Avengers 4 though.

For once, we can't expect Tom Holland to let slip any spoilers about the sequel though. He recently joked that Marvel will "shoot me" if he reveals anything, but we do know that somehow Spidey will return as Spider-Man: Far from Home comes out next year too.
