Because Donald Trump has spent his life pretending he's more important than he actually is, the man has surrounded himself by a lot of people who are actually talented and successful. So, plenty of celebrities have memories of that time they met Donald Trump. From Trump being a regular dick to the guy just being a fucking idiot, few of these stories are pleasant (unless you're Kanye West).

Quite possibly one of the funniest of these stories comes from Christian Bale on the red carpet of Vice. As he tells Variety:

“I met him, one time. We were filming on Batman in Trump Tower and he said, ‘Come on up to the office. I think he thought I was Bruce Wayne, because I was dressed as Bruce Wayne. So he talked to me like I was Bruce Wayne and I just went along with it, really. It was quite entertaining. I had no idea at the time that he would think about running for president.”

This sounds exactly like if a 6-year-old met Christian Bale and thought he was really Batman. Except, you know, a man in his 60s. Although, this certainly tracks, seeing as Trump also has a 6-year-olds knowledge of things like spelling and civics. And, at least he didn't think he was Patrick Bateman.

Although this could open up a potential new avenue of discourse with the president: Having actors dress up like the people he sees on TV, then discussing policy with him in character. Certainly if Bruce Wayne told him not to build The Wall, Donald Trump would possibly listen. It's worth a shot at this point.
