It looks like Donald Trump is leveraging Kanye West’s MAGA-fueled Twitter rants for 2020 campaign funding.

Journalists Julie Bykowicz of the Wall Street Journal and Amanda Hess of The New York Times found that text messages were sent out by the Trump campaign to supporters on Tuesday, boasting about the rapper’s outspoken support of the president.

“Groupthink is a mandate in today’s society and when a free thinker like Kanye West speaks truth, they attack him,” the text read, perhaps inspired Kanye’s pseudo-philosophical tweet storm.

“We support Kanye speaking his mind, even if sometimes we do not agree on the issues,” it continues.

West recently posted photos of his very own ‘Make America Great Again’ cap on Twitter, which he had signed by the president.

He also revealed that he “loves” Trump, and that they both share “dragon energy”.

West continued: "If your friend jumps off the bridge you don't have to do the same. Ye being Ye is a fight for you to be you. For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don't tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary I love Hillary too."
