Eminem says that the Secret Service arrived at his door after his freestyle attack on Donald Trump, in which he called the US President a “racist grandpa” and a “bitch”, went viral last year.

The claim comes on the opening track of the 45 year-old's surprise new album, 'Kamikaze', which he dropped today.

“’Cause Agent Orange just sent the Secret Service to meet in person, to see if I really think of hurtin’ him, or ask if I’m linked to terrorists”, the Detroit rapper says on ‘The Ringer’. “I empathise with the people this evil serpent sold the dream to that he’s deserted.”

Last year, the rapper revealed to XM radio station that he was “extremely angry” at Trump for not responding to his freestyles. “I can’t stand that motherf**ker. I feel like he’s not paying attention to me. I was kind of waiting for him to say something and for some reason, he didn’t say anything.”

In the opening track, he also takes aim at the lacklustre reviews for his last album, Revival, as well as the new-school of wildly popular Soundcloud rappers, including Lil Pump, Lil Xan and Lil Yachty (although his attacks are have become decidedly more mellow: “I can see why people like Lil Yachty, but not me though. Not even dissin', it just ain't for me”)

Eminem’s first album, 'Infinite', was released over two decades ago, but his popularity endures. He has one of the most popular YouTube accounts on earth, above Ariana Grande and One Direction (RIP), and caused chaos on Twitter with his latest drop. But something tells us, despite his success, he won’t be happy until he’s landed his orange whale.
