When Fleabag premiered in 2016, it made an instant star out of leading lady and creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

The actress took some time off to appear in Solo: A Star Wars Story and write and produce Killing Eve, but she's also been hard at work on a second series.

Now, BBC Three have revealed that Fleabag will return "soon" and shared what they call an *EXCLUSIVE* first look at series two.

It's just this one image posted on Twitter today (28 November).

Still, this officially marks the beginning of the promo cycle for series 2, which means that we'll hopefully get some trailers and clips sooner rather than later.

Producer Lydia Hampson previously teased what we can expect from the show's return, stating: "Fleabag's in a very different place in life from where we left her.

"The whole of the first series, it was a façade. She was shiny and prim on top, but you didn't know she was grieving underneath it all. In that last episode, we saw she was broken. We can't go back to pretending she's fine again.

"Whatever our story is, we're going to start a year on from where we left off."

Sherlock's Andrew Scott will play a new character for series 2, while Hugh Dennis has expressed doubts about his return.
