Champions League match-winner Gareth Bale sacked off his Real Madrid teammates after the final last Saturday night and spent 20 minutes chatting in the Liverpool dressing room instead.

According to the Daily Mail, Bale went to hang out with old Southampton pal Adam Lallana among others in the Liverpool dressing room. We don't yet know whether he went in to hand back the small part of Loris Karius' soul he tore out with Madrid's third, sadly.

It all adds to the sense that Bale's heart isn't exactly in it at Madrid these days, especially after he had a very polite strop at Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane in the post-match press conference in Kiev.

"I feel I need to be playing every week, it's something that I've always wanted to do, something I feel like I should be doing," he said. "If it's not the case here then it is something I really have to consider and sit down and do it.

He was especially angry not to have started the final, despite scoring five times in his last four league games and apparently speeding up the balding process to ingratiate himself with his famously bald manager.

"I'm very disappointed," Bale said. "In my head I felt like I should start. I felt like I've been playing well enough to start. But obviously I was very disappointed to find out I wasn't."
