No matter where you stand on the Han Shot First debate, what matters is that Solo got the job done. And if you've got the credits, the iconic smuggler's modified DL-44 blaster can finally be yours.

On 23 June, Julien's Auctions will put one of three blasters actually used in Return of the Jedi up for bids at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. With the auction timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of Episode VI, the weapon is estimated to sell for between $300,000 (£280k) and $500,000 (£364k).

Han's blaster was made from a Mauser C96 Broomhandle, an actual German gun, that was customised with resin and various found parts to make it look like the kind of thing you'd find in a galaxy far, far away.

And until you've mastered your midichlorians or can get your hands on an actual, working lightsaber, there's no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.
