Government conspiracies. Mind-altering drugs. Julia Roberts. It's all a perfect combination for Amazon's newest series, Homecoming, based off the hit podcast of the same name. The first trailer for the series, which premieres on Amazon Prime on November 2nd, dropped today, and if you're not aware of the premise behind the show, don't expect many answers from the trailer.

The mind-boggling sneak peek makes sense for the psychological-thriller. The story follows Homecoming facility caseworker Heidi Bergman (Julia Roberts) as she helps soldier Walter Cruz (Stephan James) acclimate to civilian life again. But the deeper she gets into his case, the more Heidi starts wondering, Am I helping or hurting him?

The series, which also stars Bobby Cannavale, Sissy Spacek, and Dermot Mulroney, is based on the original podcast, which saw massive success for its unique approach to the trendy medium. The lead parts were originally voiced by Catherine Keener, David Schwimmer, and Oscar Isaac.

The world premiere of the pilot debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival this week, receiving critical acclaim. All that's left now is for it to drop on Amazon so we can figure out exactly what the fuck is going on at this Homecoming facility.
