X-Men legend Hugh Jackman has revealed that he'd be interested in taking on other comic-book roles.

Made world famous by his turn as Logan/Wolverine across nine movies, Jackman would certainly be welcomed back to the superhero genre, but who would he play? With Worlds of DC aching for consistent success, perhaps they'd be willing to reel him in.

Chatting to MTV News, Jackman was asked whether he'd consider bringing another comic book character to life.

"Oh yeah I'd be open to that. Yeah, for sure," he responded enthusiastically.

"I mean, for me I never saw it as a superhero, even when I got Logan I didn't know much about the X-Men series or comic book series. I was like, 'These are great characters'.

"All of these people are flawed characters. Sure they have extraordinary abilities, but they're all really flawed and that's what the movie's about. That's what people relate to it."

He continued to explain: "There's a wish-fulfillment of it, like 'I wish I had claws', but ultimately I'm like, 'Yeah, I know what it's like to be marginalised, I know what it's like to not be taken seriously or misunderstood. If only I had the bloody claws you know'."

Interestingly, The Avengers star Sebastian Stan mentioned earlier this year that the Australian icon might be considering another outing as the clawed beast that is Logan.
