The rumour that Idris Elba will someday take up the mantle of playing James Bond just won't die.
Before Daniel Craig announced he was returning, Elba ruled himself out because he was committed to filming Luther. But now, as Craig's departure looms once more, Elba's name has returned to the mix amongst other contenders such as James Norton, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy and even Emily Blunt.
One person who's not so keen on him taking up 007 status is his new fiancée Sabina Dhowre, who Elba proposed to last month.
"He supports gender equality but we don’t always share all the chores at home because he works so much," Dhowre told The Sun. "I can’t imagine what it would be like being married to the next James Bond but I’d imagine he’d be ten times as busy as he is now."
"I didn’t realise how busy he was," she added. "But we both do what we can. He’s the perfect guy."
Not that we don't trust Idris' skills in being able to sweet talk someone into getting his way, but that sounds like a bit of a nail in the coffin for his Bond hopes.
