The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the disappearance of the original Iron Man suit worn by Robert Downey Jr., according to the L.A. Times. The suit, which is valued at $325,000 (honestly a bargain for gold titanium alloy armour with a force field), was reported missing from a prop storage warehouse on Tuesday morning.

To be fair, of all the iconic film props to steal, the Iron Man suit would definitely be fun as hell. What would you do with a half a mechanical shark (Jaws) or messed-up volley ball (Cast Away), or a pile of fake cocaine (Scarface)?

The investigation isn't going great so far, as police aren't even sure when the suit went missing (sometime between February and late April). The LAPD currently has no suspects, but it's likely the most legit Iron Man currently outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre or the dude flying around shooting laser beams out of his hands.
