Aside from being one of the most high profile names to be added to the "Oh shit, I used to like their stuff" list of accused Hollywood creeps, Kevin Spacey also cost his bosses at Netflix a small (for them) fortune with his behaviour.

Having already been totally eradicated from Ridley Scott's latest film, it has now been revealed by Deadline that Spacey cost Netflix £28m due to projects affected by his sexual misconduct scandal.

While Netflix did not specifically blame Spacey, its chief financial officer David Wells said the loss was "related to the societal reset around sexual harassment". Although write-downs happened regularly, the firm has not "had one of this magnitude," he said.

Before a slew of sexual misconduct allegations against the actor were brought to the public's attention, Spacey had completed work on Gore which is now said to have been cancelled, while House of Cards will continue with Robin Wright taking the lead role. It still remains to be seen exactly how Spacey's character Frank Underwood will phased out of the sixth season.
